How'd you know that was from my yearbook?

When did you sneak over to N.J. and get into my house?

I have to give Sage a good talking to. She is supposed to
be watching the house when I am not at home :Talkative:

Thanks Cindy
Catching Vitamin D on a sunny beach sounds like the kind of care I need.
Now which one is Sappy? all the "appy's" make my head spin!

I'd have gone stark raving mad without this place. It's practically the only time I "leave" the house.

I'm here!! I made it through the week, and I'm doing pretty well except for the pollen around here. We're under another tornado warning, so I don't know how much longer I can be on here for now.:o

I'm so sorry you're still having problems Beth. I hope you're not in a lot of pain. It's good to see everyone else. I have missed all of you.

Hi Chris
Sorry you've got the allergy stuff to plague you now. I hope you don't suffer greatly.

Has the storm passed? You've had some interesting weather this year.

I'm hanging tough but it is getting old lugging the leg around. I hope the MRI on Monday gives some answers.

I bought a rebounder in January after reading about it here and doing some research. I was so psyched to start, now it is just gathering dust. :(

Someday ...

I will be thinking good thoughts for you on Monday whilst you undergo your MRI. I'm sure you are so frustrated. You have been very patient throughout all of this.

The worst of the storms seemed to have passed, yet we remain under a tornado warning until 10 this evening. Thank you for your concern.

All the best,
Chris

Good to see you again, Chrappy, I hope that storm doesn't get too close to you all. It has been rough on so many down your way.

How's the foot today, Bappy?

I spent about 1/2 an hour yesterday, trying to cut through the cast on my foot. It was so tight the top of my foot felt like it was bursting at the seams.

I had some deep marks from all the wrapping. Good golly. It was nice to see it again and after a good cleaning and some fresh air looks the same. A bit of swelling around the front and the ankle bone on the sides.

I went out to lunch and did some shopping today. After several hours I had to get home and rest it. I still get shin splint type pain which increases with walking. I guess it's all connected. I even too a whole pain pill before I went out. I'm so glad I did.

I was reviewing pics on my digital camera from days 5, 8 and 14. Boy was it looking bad. I'm going to show them to my doc at our next appointment. I'm sure all the bruising will give her some good info. Don't know why I didn't think about it before now.

Casts are a Pain in the Butt aren't they...I remember when I had one on my leg and I couldn't wait to get it off! I was continually trying to figure out how to scratch my leg inside it...came up with all sorts of ideas...and my toes were bruised too.

Then when I broke my ankle about 4 years ago, that air cast was so wonderful. I loved it. It was so much better than that plaster thing I had years ago.

I hope you have a good appt with the doc next time and get to take it off!

MSacorn 04-08-2008 06:38 PM

I had my ankle MRI'd yesterday. Today the doctors office called and said I have an ankle sprain. No kidding! It is day 68.

I'm supposed to use an ace wrap, if I want, and continue normal activities. If something hurts stop. I can stop using walking cast only if there is no pain, put it back on when it hurts. And no PT or physical activity.

If not improved in 2-4 weeks return. I am giving it 2 weeks and going back. The thing is still bruised and swollen. What else can I do?!

tovaxin_lab_rat 04-22-2008 12:25 AM

I'm here, I'm here. :Wave-Hello:

I've been busy this week. I'm helping my sister at her sign shop. Not just the a/r, but weeding, taping and fabricating signs. Ouch, my back/neck is killing me. I'm staying home tomorrow

She's got this long named issue, meaning fluid built up in her spine from neck through thorasic area. Most likely some kind of surgery will be needed. She saw a specialist this morning. Hmmm :Hum: I forgot, and she didn't mention it. I'll get back to you on the outcome.

I had OT today. Last week she made splints for me to wear at night and help my wrist/hands. She remade the left one today, and we got into it because she wants to try desensitization on my hands. They hate to be touched, I can't imagine doing something that creates havoc on purpose, with no relief. I'm trying to keep and open mind.

This Saturday is the baby shower for my nephew and his fiance. They are getting married on Sunday. The family is driving to Iowa for a quick weekend. Leaving early Sat (3am) and arriving home around midnight Sunday. It's a 9 hr drive one way, Dad is driving. :D

I'm frantically trying to finish crocheting the baby blanket for Andrew. If only the hands were more cooperative, I'd be done.

Let's see what else, I still have MS and an ankle sprain. The ankle is bruised and in the walking cast, still. I have an appt with doc for early May. I can't go more then a couple hours without it and without pain.

I'm sorry some of you are feeling so crummy, Sally, Cheryl and Taffy please start feeling better. Cindy, DM, anyone else, here are some healing hugs for everyone.

The End :D

A bunch of Mart people! What are WE going to do with them...

The 'roids help me, that's all I can say. I am just to the point where I cannot function physically and I have to...so, it's time. :( It was last July when I did them before, so it's been awhile. Considering my previous history, I think I am doing pretty good...as a lab rat!

Jappy 04-23-2008 07:02 PM

Hi Everyone :Wave-Hello:

I am doing a lot better today. I can see the board a lot clearer so
just had to say hello.

How is everybody doing? I am sure (praying) that in a few more
days (hopefully) I will feel normal again Haaaaaaaaa that's a good one.

Well as normal, that normal is for me.

The weather is getting warmer and that in itself is an upper for the
spirits. :)
I like Wal-mart, not the one we have here where I live. In Kentucky
where my son lives it is a Super Wal-Mart. The one here is so small
compared to the super one.

Love going into the big Mall that we have here. There are so many
areas that I can rest when I have to and sooooo many places to eat,
that's the fun of visiting the mall. Don't have that much money to spend
so it is more of a sightseeing trip.

Have a good evening. Praying that we all are on the road to
feeling better. :Dancing-Chilli:

Wow now I know that I haven't been posting for awhile, just
saw all the new Smilies.

Jappy :grouphug:

I've got it too. I'm having the exacerbation from hell.:o I just got my 3rd dose of steroids today, but don't feel any better. Thanks for inquiring about my whereabouts. I'm going to crawl back into bed again. I hope everyone else who is having a rough time of it of late starts to feel better soon. I really hate MS!:( Did I mention that I really hated MS already?!?!?!

HI Chrappy...I HATE MS TOO. I am having round two today and feel like I've been run over by a truck today...I feel for you ... we need something to distract us from all this crapola...

My voice is gone from the steroids...so I am barking at people....that's just great!

I am headed out the door in an hour for my next infusion, then it's back to bed for me...

Hugs to you!

AfterMyNap 04-24-2008 01:34 PM

Aw, dangit, now you, too, Chrappy? Even Dappy finally relented and found out today that she has the bronchial thing going on along with an earache.

I know this because she just gave me an earache about it.

Enough, I say! No wonder my mom always called April "pneumonia weather".

Feel better everyone!:grouphug:

*removing scrubs, mask & gloves*

SallyC 04-24-2008 05:22 PM

Awwwww, Chrappy, honey.....You Too?!!!:(
Feel better soon..

All this kinda makes me want to ask the question...DOES ANYONE HERE FEEL WELL???:grouphug:

MSacorn 04-24-2008 06:46 PM

Oh no, not another one! Is there anyone feeling okay?

I'm alright, except my back really hurts, I'm thinking walking crooked with this walker cast thingie is making me more out of whack then usual. If I don't feel better next week, I'm going to the doc.

Someone check on me and make sure I do.

All my sickies, please rest and drink (your choice) and start feeling better ... pretty please with sugar on top, and a choccy bar too.

Here some healing hugs
