Default Want to be a cool cool rider?

Jim has this handy cup holder for his wheelchair. We bought it at a Harley Store last summer. You can find this on Ebay or many bike stores. There are several varieties but we found this one was great for low or tall bottles and cups. The best part is it does not stick out or get hung on things and it's adjustable for varying styles of wheelchairs. It attaches with heavy duty snaps, no screws to deal with! To do a search just type in leather cup holder.

Thanks, Cin! My fingers and hands are getting progressively worse, and these suggestions will definitely help!

Hi, Jan! I'm so happy to see you here!! Yep, my hands have been revolting against me for years now and it's just getting worse all the time. I have developed quite an arsenal around the house. It's cool that there are so many things out there to give us a hand.

Wow...great stuff...my honey is having problems with telling his hands to do something and they just sit there...really bad when he is trying to eat or drink.

I like the knife ideas, I will have to let him take a peak and see which or what one he would like to try...thanks!!!

Just found this thread today and am very thankful. My fingers and hands can be an extreme source of frustration for me on a given day.

I have had times when DH has had to cut the meat on my plate for me. I've noticed the stares. I'm sure some think I'm acting like a diva and some think how cute it is that he's cutting my food for me. Of course, I also get the stares in public when I'm having difficulty cutting (fumbling) my food. Can't win. What do I do at home? Stab it with a fork and go all "cavewoman" on the food. LOL

That onion thing is very cool and looks like what I do with a fork already. I don't do well with cutting food but if I can hold it steady, it's easier.

Bummer about the Tater Gloves though because it takes me forever to use a veggie peeler.
