Thanks for letting us know.
I've been on Neurontin for over 5 years. Haven't had any problems with it, TG. |

Hello everybody,
There is always a certain amount of people who have negative reactions to a drug. I agree that our medical providers, but more importantly US, that needs to be informed as to possible side effects. I have been on gabapentin for about 5 years and have yet to have any effects but good ones, i.e. what the med was designed for. I suppose if you are one of those people who tend to contemplate suicide then these drugs should be avoided. Knowledge is power, Dave |

Thanks! I have been on Topamax since 2002 and have not had any problems. But...everyone is different.

I was one of those who did have that side effect, along with quite a few others. It started about a week after I started, went away after a couple weeks and started again about a week after every increase in it.

Thanks for the post...
I've been on gabapentin for 2 yrs...the only negative effect has been an inability to lose the *@#$ weight I've been trying to get rid of. New neuro took me off of 1/3 of the dose to see if it helps me lose the weight...not so much. ![]() |

I would imagine that most of us take at least one of these meds. Not bad enough that MS makes us subject to depression, add to that the CRABS and then one of these? No wonder most of us are on some sort of anti depressant.
God I hate MS more and more each day.

I have been on either neurontin or Lyrica for the past 5 years or so and can't say that i have never had a problem. They posted a similar warning for the interferons too and again, it has not been a problem and i do have a history of severe depression in the past so i was worried when i started the betaseron. I would hate to see people stop taking these meds when they are getting pain relief from them- obvioulsy if some one is feeling depressed or having suicidal thoughts they need to talk to their MO - then its for the MO to work out wether the meds are the problem or not- but thanks for the info
