Yes, it can.
Can you describe it a little more though because I'd hate for you to assume this is MS when it could be something more serious. Is there anything that triggers it, ie. can you "make" it happen? If you can, does it stay only in your head (and where)? Are there other sensations that accompany it, i.e. dizziness, full head feeling, etc.? I think I know the feeling though. ![]() Cherie

I read this after I submitted my previous message. It seems to worsen when I move around, particularly move my head. I don't really have other symptoms with it... no congestion, dizziness, pain.... just buzzing and vibration. Thanks

If you move your head directly down, or circle it (like neck-roll exercises), does it come on? After doing this several times, does it stop?
Does it kinda make you feel sick to your stomach? Does the sensation reach down to other parts of the body? The ringing is tinnitus, and can happen because of MS, or because of medications. It can get worse during a flare. Are you experiencing anything else new right now, other then the buzzing and ringing? Cherie

My other symptoms are actually mild right now. I am having some numbness and burning down my right arm. I'm not sure if the buzzing is worse at that time. I'll be paying more attention. It's one of those things that has recently come up and seems new, so trying to figure it out... I try not to dwell too much, but am starting to be somewhat more aware of things since my dx because you never know when something important might be cropping up that would eventually need further attention. I appreciate your thoughts and am thankful for the input.

It could be l'hirmettes, but presenting differently. I have had various forms of that, all feeling entirely different from each other.

I've had buzzing in my head. When it happens, it's always in the same place. It sounds just like you would think a bee would sound if it were inside your head, and it will last as long as six or eight weeks.
And yes, it always proceeds a flare.
