Cherie's post was insightful...and correct but not necessarily for all....I too have have had this happen and it doesn't last for weeks at a time..I have had it happen for only short periods of time we're talking minutes here, as well, scared the crap out of me the first time....I had been feeling kind of cruddy numb spots here and there some tingling when all of a sudden I was totally unaware of the entire right side of my body,it was as if I had gone completely paralyzed, I have since had this happen on multiple occasions somtimes just an arm or a leg but it usually goes away fairly quickly, I thought I was having mini strokes! I DID however go to my neuro young lady! Alas in the end it was only the MonSter but you should always be sure!

THANK YOU for clarifying that, afwife . . . you are absolutely right. What I meant was the numbness part might last that long, if it is an attack, NOT the Proprioceptive Dysfunction. The Proprioceptive Dysfunction is very fleeting for me and usually only lasts seconds to moments. Cherie

I had proprioceptive dysfunction for a couple of weeks--mainly in my toes on my right foot. But it happened to my right leg too for hours. It's unnerving.
CITH, that totally sucks that it's making you feel this way. I so hope you're feeling a bit better now. And yes, no one messes with mom, so kick MonSter butt!! PT, as HollyM said, can be beneficial. It may just be that it'll help you strengthen limbs, but any extra strengthening we can get helps. ![]() ![]() Let us know what the neuro said. I know it's scary, but it's better to KNOW than not to know and let your mind run wild. K?
