Seriously. If you don't, it's possible that one day it might be a "therapy" for MS. EEeeeeewwww.....
There's an article that came out about this here: http://www.madison.com/wsj/topstories/275998 They're going to try to activate the good parts of people's immune systems by having some patients drink a drink with whipworm eggs in it. The eggs will then hatch inside the person's body. Blech.... Ptooey!!! EEEEEEEeeeewwwwww........ I am SO not a knowing bug eater.

I keep hearing about how the sanitization of society is making us sick.
What about those of us who didn't have that sort of sanitization? I mean, I grew up traveling the world, doing the normal kid stuff ( normal for those of us born when we still played outside!), working with high risk people since I was 18, participated in activities that didn't allow showering for weeks at a time, etc...( don't ask!) and here I am with MS. We had mumps and lice and chicken pox and measles and ringworm and I ate weird food in other countries, and I am sure at least one, if not more of the kids in my family had worms of one kind or another. WE went barefoot all summer, used the same bathwater as kids, slept in the same room, and no one is going to tell me I was oversanitized! I ain't gonna drink that, no matter how many times they tell me it's good for me!

I don't think I could drink that one. I think I ate more dirt and rolled in the mud than any kid in my town. I had the chicken pox, did the whole not shower for six weeks while camping at summer camp.

If I'm going to have to eat a worm, make a it a tapeworm. If a cure can make me skinny, it's ok in my book!

While I too grew up in the mud and sand, I did not grow up eating worms. The study oversea stated: "Over four years, those with the worms had 90 percent fewer flare-ups and brain lesions." I'll eat anything that has a chance of reducing this. However, I wonder how many were tested in that study. My guess is only a few. If so, I don't call this much of a study.

LOL, I never understood the whole "women & shoes", I mean I don't have 30 pairs of shoes in my closet and dream about shoe shopping. I HATE shoes, I even go outside bare foot with snow on the ground to get the mail because I don't want to put shoes on my feet. Of course this could be why I needed 10 stitches in my foot when I was 6 to close my foot back up. I don't make my kids wear shoes in our back yard, DH hates this.

You know maybe MS and other illness like it are because we had ALL kinds of things as a child, maybe our immune systems have always been messed up. I have had mumps, lice, chicken pox, measles, the flu almost even year, allergies, asthma, etc. This all just makes you think sometimes.
