I got my Tens Unit yesterday.

And just in time, the day before I had hurt my back lifting and carrying my 5 year old. Well I had been taking OTC pain meds and they didn't help at all, put the Tens Unit on for 20min and the pain was better, toke a hot bath and put the unit back on for 20min last night and this morning the pain is gone.

I don't understand all the settings yet, just playing around with them it see what feels good and what hurts, LOL.

Julie, I used one after my last three back surgeries for pain and it saved my life. Right now I hurt everywhere though and only a human glove pad attached to a giant tens unit would help me now...why don't we invent one...or is there one already???

I have one and love it. However, for me, it does NOT work on nerve pain. Learned that one quickly. LOL. I've had mine for about 5 years now and use it when the spasms in my back get bad. I, fortunately, have not had to use it in quite a while; more likely because the meds.

Thank you. I didn't think it would work for the nerve pain but I was hoping it would help with any other pain and keep me from having to use RX pain meds.

I'm glad that you, just like my DH and thousands of others, have found that it actually does work for nerve pain. I'm not sure how but I guess it interrupts the pain signal or something. All I can say is "thank you to the person who invented them".

The TENS does not cure the pain, nor does it give long term pain relief, but it's a better way of getting short term analgesia that swallowing OTC, and/or Narcotic pain relievers by the dozen.

I'm so glad it's giving you some relief Julie.
