Default Hi everyone

May I come play too? I've been lurking for a while but I'd like to join the fun.
I got my dx in1969 - preMRI- after two very unpleasant years of nasty symptoms and worse doctors. I gave up on doctors then and except for pregnancies I haven't been to one since.

Fast forward to last Sat. About 7am I was sitting at the computer lurking as usual when the rt side of my face started feeling very odd, my balance was wonky and my arms and legs refused to be part of the team. It all happened very quickly. To have it come on that rapidly was scarry. I also have never had left side major envolvement before. DH dragged me off to the ER.

I am Dr. phobic so my bp was sky high so I got hooked up to everything and anything. I had every test imaginable. Good news - no stroke or TIA.

Because I said I had MS they brought in a neuro who asked when when I last saw a Dr. ,when I said 35 years he did't miss a beat and said "Did you get tired of being told you were crazy? You need to know we are the crazy ones"" My day imediately got better.

I had a MRI - I realy enjoyed it. I thought the strange noise was facinating.

I haven't seen the mri films yet but he confirmed ms. If my legs would have worked I would have tap danced. Even though I had a dx from the days of yore I have never felt confidant that some jerk wouldn't send me back to limbo hell.

Please forgive this too long post. I promise to be more concice in the future. I'm just sooo pleased. I must be punchy 'cause I even have follow up appts with the neuro and a gp.
