Default can't sleep - numbness - frustrated

ok, this tongue & face numbness is really driving me crazy along with the buzzing down my neck. I have had the numbness in my face but it didn't bother me sleeping but tonight seems to be a different story! I tried putting a luke warm wash cloth on my face thinking it might change the nerve endings but it didn't help.

The spasticity is in my lower back and my legs pretty bad tonight. Wow, I haven't had it like this is a REALLY long time. I wish I could of got in touch with the neuro today.... will certainly do it in the morning but I am sure they are just going to record it and tell me there is nothing that can be done.

ok, enough venting for one night. Thanks for listening......

So sorry for you. It's so hard to want to just drift off to sleep and not be able to. Why does it seem some of these sx just intensify at bed time?
I hope things will settle down for you. Would a hot cup of decaffeinated tea help to relax you.... I don't know :.... my mama always fixed me hot tea when I was little.... wish I had a better suggestion. Hope you get some sleep soon.

after I wrote that post I went in and took another warm shower and went back to bed - I read for about 20 minutes and then finally went to sleep.

Face is still the same and legs are really bothering me this morning - spasticity is not in my favor that is for sure.

DBF was so worried - he knew I wasn't feeling up to par this morning he has called to check on me and he only left at 5:45! He is a good man!

I know that feeling too! I have been so rudely awakened the past several mornings with pins and needles running down my arms... and spine. it is so annoying.

I was formally dx with spaticity yesterday and yeah, in "celebration" of my dx my muscles all came out one by one last night to greet me with the "spastic marching band" progressing down my spine and legs!

Meaning i was in some SERIOUS pain and i guess my body tends to dull the pain for me but last night the dulling kindness decided to join the parade and march away! but the stiletto heals of the marching band left thier mark on my spine after the marching (spasms) ceased!

i hate the ___________ disease (i put a blank b/c i don't know what to call it as i have not been formally dx with MS but geepers i sure can relate to ya'll!

So sorry you are feeling unwell yeahbut. Do you have work or school
today???? It sounds like a good day to stay on the couch in your
jammies.

Contact the neuro, maybe he can offer you some zanaflex or something
else for the spasticity.

Feel better soon,

Sox

Glad you got some rest last night. Totally understand how hard it is to do so when you're in pain.

Hope the doc can help you out.

Oh, my little lambchop, I hate it too! At least you finally got some rest. I hope you will call your neuro and even just leave a message. Methinks it's time for an upgrade on the spaz meds. Here's to a better day for you.
