Sheena, believe me, it's better to be alone than to be with the wrong person, with someone who isn't good for you.
I didn't marry until I was in my forties. It was hard, but it's much worse to live or have a relationship with someone unsympathetic, unsupportive, and damaging. Finding the right person when you're in your forties can be a wonderful thing--and it can happen to you. It happens to a lot of us. You'll find someone mature and experienced, who may be more willing and able to handle things--including chronic illness, either their own or a loved one's. And it happens when you least expect it--but you've got to be out there where he can find you! I don't mean in bars---just everyday situations, or social, community events. Please, don't give up. And remember, it happens sometimes when you're not even looking for it! |
