I got an rx for an aspirin with some synthetic pain killer (allergic to codeine) in it for my back which really goes into spasm - take two and you forget you ever had a back - I can work it out in a couple of days - beats edging around with my back all twisted for weeks

I went to the concert (Blue Man Group...they were cool!) and I was a wee bit uncomfortable. We got there with minutes to spare for the start of the concert, and we were walking pretty fast to get to our seats.
Noticed that my foot got number the faster I walked. The arena was pretty warm, so I had to keep getting up and going up the steps to stand in the cooler air, or to go splash water onto my arms and face to cool down. I really loved the music, didnt care for the warmth tho. I was really really happy that it was about 40 degrees outside when we were leaving. Just carried my jacket to the car instead of wearing it. Wow, cool air really does help the numbness go bye-bye. So now, the only thing left that's annoyingly numb is the right side of my right foot, and the ball of my foot. If I havent said it before (really, I have) MS Sucks! Is there another incurable disease out there that's not as bad as MS that I can trade for? |

Glad you liked the concert - both of my boys went to their concert when they were here and loved it. ![]() Numbness is a common symptom of MS - my right hand/arm has been numb since October. ![]() If I was able to even think about going to a concert - let alone being able to walk quickly to get to my seat - I would think I'd been cured!! Irritating symptoms are just a part of everyday life with MS. When I learned not to fret over them and let them consume me I felt I dealt with the unknowns of this disease a lot better. Not discounting your symptoms at all - just saying that this is pretty much "par for the course" with MS. ![]()

I'm pretty sure an infection is messing with me and making all the annoying stuff annoy me.
I was taking antibiotics over the weekend, and I thought the antibiotics were making me sick early sunday morning, so I called the pharmacy to see if they could contact my dentist for a new Rx. The pharmacy called me back and said to try again today to get it. Well, after i got home from the concert, I could feel something on the side of my mouth where I had my dental work done, and it was getting worse, so I decided to risk the antibiotics making me sick again and took one. Slept for a few hours before the first thunderstorm of the year woke me up, and I feel so much better with whatever was happening by my teeth. and I dont feel sick from the antibiotics yet. My dad thought maybe whatever was making me sick early sunday morning could have been food poisoning, since he had something similar. I'm going to my regular doctor at noon, so I'm going to ask him if I should still get another Rx from the dentist or just stick with the original one. I know numbness is just an irritating symptom, scary, but not really harmful. This numbness in my foot has just been so different from other numb sensations. I'm sure it's got something to do with the dental work I had last week. I had some numbness before the dentist, but after I was there, it was so much worse. It got to be deep enough that I just couldnt ignore it. Thunderstorm is starting up again, so I'm shutting down my computers before the storm does it for me. |

Not for me ![]() ![]() The good news is that the PAIN far outweighs the "annoyingness" of the numbness when it's bad . . . so you wouldn't be concerned about that symptom too much any more. ![]() Glad you had a good time at the concert and with your b/f. Cherie

Yep, I will take the cold ANY day over the heat. I'm dreading the summer because I will be cooped up inside the majority of the time. I even have to do my grocery shopping at night during the summer - no joke! I wait until 9 or 10 PM and then venture out - it might be warm but nowhere near as bad as the midday heat.
