Default Optic Neuritis?

Hi all- Has anyone here personally experienced optic neuritis? Is it always blindness? How long does it last? Is there treatment for it, or just more "wait and see"?

I keep getting blurry spots in my vision that go away after a few hours and I am not sure if this is something I should call my doc about, since they will probably be gone by the time I get to his office Since I am undx'd I want to make sure stuff like this gets recorded, but if it can wait till my next appointment, that would be great. Thanks!
