Have I told you how much I love this neuro? He is really great..... so this morning when I see him to do the electroid testing on my hands to rule out Carpal Tunel. He has a line of towels lined up across the floor and a pitcher full of water and asked me to pick it up with my left hand all by itself and I pick it up fine but my hand really shakes and carry it down the towels, back to the table and set it on the table with a splash. He says ok now the right hand - well, this time I pick it up off the table and within two steps I drop it - hense the towels! My hand was shaking so bad....

He did the test which showed no Carpal Tunel which is what he knew was going to happen but he felt he needed to rule it out just in case! He explained he was going to set me up for one more MRI of the brain and then put together all the test to try to prove to the insurance company that he truly believes it is MS. He said after the MRI we will talk about the LP but he is hoping the MRI will show something so we don't have to do it.

I really am happy with this neuro..... thanks for your concerns -he feels it is MS 100%, he just needs to prove it to my insurance company. How sad is that - the neuro can't give his dx - he has to make the insurance company happy first!

Aw, Char, I'm happy and sad for you. Just having answers and a plan to go forward will make things a lot simpler. We never forget the sometimes-long season of limbo and I honestly remember feeling relief that it was finally over.

Here's hoping you can soon get on with the rest of your life.

How are you feeling?

Other than being emotionally stressed my body is feeling ok. Thank you for asking.... the neuro told me today I needed to be careful with the stress for it will put me into a flare quicker than anything.

Char honey!

Sorry I am late to the answer here!

I am so happy that you feel good about this new neuro. That's the beginning of any relationship with a doc- Can I get along with the doc and do I like them as a person- If you can't talk to a doc and trust them, it's time for another.

I hate that you have to keep your insurance company happy first!
I don't believe that insurance companies should be practicing medicine!
That's the doc's job!

Now do like he toldja and no more stress!
