Joelle

I'm sorry they're being so difficult - as if you need more on your plate. Family can definitely test the patience of the most even tempered individuals. Like everyone else has suggested just ignore the SIL and the brother, too, if that's what it takes. Right now it's about your Mom - and it sounds like your SIL is trying to take center stage.

As always, call me when you can. I can always tell when you're calling from the bathroom - the echo gives it away!! Don't you feel like a teenager again - sneaking into the bathroom to make a phone call?! Only now the phone cord underneath the door won't give you away!

You and your family are always in my prayers...wish there was more I could do. Maybe you'll be pleasantly surprised and this visit will be more relaxed. We can always hope!!

Take care.

So sorry, Joellelee. As if you don't have enough to deal with trying to help your dear Mom.

You will definitely be missed around here. Check in when you can and give us an update. Prayers going out from central Utah for you and your Mom.

Ah Joelle,

We all have family members that just don't FIT.

I just be as nice as possible while never talking to them if I can help it.

The worst part is I am sure there are some who feel that way about me too!

I just smile and say " Oh Realllly?" whenever they say anything, even if I have to grit my teeth to hold that smile. Then I excuse myself and walk as far away as possible.

Please check in when you can. We'll be watching for you.

My prayers are with you and your family, even the ones who make you wince or grind your teeth.

I have this mental picture in my mind of you all, shaking bones and bells and charms, muttering prayers and voodoo curses, dancing around in a circle of salt, with leetle glasses and tiny bottles of cheer in the middle...myyyyyy friends!
