If you have a cell phone with a camera you could take a picture of the way the car is parked and blocking the way and get one of the plate too.

Then report it to the police with the photos

Well, first of all, the reason Bob almost had a stroke is that it was so uncharacteristic of me. I'm the one who says "Leave it alone, just drop it, don't make a scene, maybe there's a good reason". And I don't punch ANYTHING, except black flies.

I would NEVER have done anything to cause damage to the car! And for all I know, the salesman could have had MS, too, and parked close for that reason. But he could have pulled forward, or backward, a few feet so that people could get by.

I guess I was mostly just frustrated because there is no real solution to people being obtuse. There is a woman that comes in the Post Office now and then who drives a big old pick-up truck, and she ALWAYS parks so that she blocks the sidewalk and customers have to walk around the truck, on the grass (or in the snow). She HAS to know that she's doing it. Maybe it's a power thing, who knows.
