HI! I am Reba2295 and I was researching medical alert bracelets and came across this forum. I am so excited!! I was officially diagnosed 2 months ago but the symptoms started at the end of May. I have been on Rebif for 6 weeks and boy it is rough, don't think I will ever get use to injecting myself, IT HURTS!!!!

A little about myself, married, 3 teenage boys, and I am in nursing school!! Busy, crazy life. Just wish this disease would have shown it's ugly head after I was done with school...

Hi Reba,
Welcome! You found the right place. So glad you did. Yes it is hard to go to nursing school with MS. I did it before my kids were born and after too. Lots of juggling to do. I hope the side effects of Rebif aren't affecting you. There were no meds around when I was dx'd, just steroids. No MRI's either.

If you need to relax just pop on here and talk. We have a wonderful group of people who understand.

Did you find the medical bracelet? I have one that opens and it's waterproof. You can write ALL your information on it with the paper inside it. Even phone numbers for emergency, meds, dx or more, blood type, etc.

You can shower with it. Works for me. The top screws on tight with the medical symbol on it. It was a mail away order.

Nice to meet you.

I was diagnosed with PPMS 18 months ago, but suspect I've had MS for about 40 of my 47 years. I'm looking forward to posting more, meeting all of you, and learning from everyone's experiences.
Hi Clumser and Welcome to the group!! Sorry you have to be here, but under the circumstances it's a great place to be. We're all in the same boat and are glad to be of help when we can. Hope to see you around.

Hi Reba! Sorry you have to be here, but Welcome to the group! This is a great place to be with lots of friendly, caring people who are all in the same boat and willing to help.

Your story reminds me of myself twenty-three years ago when I had three teenagers, newly diagnosed but had symptoms way before then, going through a divorce and trying to support the four of us. Your plate is certainly full!! My heart goes out to you and I wish you all the best. Hope to get to know you better.
