My numbness was limited to my right side for a long time, then spread to my left hand. Now both hands have a lot of numbness (I too have a lesion in my cervical spine)..I've never noticed if pressure on my neck makes a difference one way or the other, but may be worth checking out.
Now, don't go using this as an excuse not to use the CPAP..
