I agree Cheerie. IThe death was due to him taking too much. Not for other reasons that it may have happened - bad meds, the wrong meds or med interactions nobody had the chance to warn him about.

And afterall, as he had access to the internet, the smarts to locate and order this drug, I'm sure he also could have looked the soma up and figured out how much to take. Any of us can do that, and check for side effects and all that jazz.

Monique - I was the same way. Never took an aspirin. And now the FDA is cracking down on docs who hand out samples.

I know now I'm lucky with my rx coverage, but it wasn't that way with my last ins. They did not cover any injectables. (I am not/was not on any thank goodness) I would not have been able to afford it though. Do check into assistance, even if you don't think you qualify. You never know.

If that doesn't work, marry a railroader, lol.

I have a drug addicted sister. she jumps from MD to MD seeking rx. She goes from website to website seeking Rx. she lies, cheats and uses welfare to pay for um. No one at the welfare office reviews her monthly drug tally that the tax payers are paying for. no one says "hey, why do you have 12 rx for percocet? and 6 for vicoden?" some dumb on line pharmacy gives her fytentol patches! 50mg patches

my point is that if you want the drugs badly enough, you will find a way to get them. She is using LEGAL front doors, and illegal back doors. No one seems to be guarding either.

then I see people here in pain, and struggling to get their MD to listen to them, when they beg for help, and are turned away. It just isnt fair.
