And, I saw the movie Ironman on sunday. There was about 2 dozen teenagers sitting either in the row my boyfriend and I were in, and the the entire row in front of us. The brats were CONSTANTLY texting each other, waving their cellphones around like flashlights. Talking. Bouncing around on the seats, and basically just being buttheads (wish I could use stronger language)

If it wasnt for the fact that I'd have to crawl over the little jerks to go out and complain about them, I would have gone and complained about them. It's really annoying to pay $8.50 to see a movie and have it ruined by children who cant keep their stupid cellphones in their pockets and turned off.

Just one more reason to legalize tasers.

ohmygawd! I HAVE to tell that one to my boyfriend! :D:eek::ROTFLMAO::Dancing-Chilli:

Of course, if you taze someone, then you have to deal with the screaming.

My boyfriend said that he's not going to spend any more money going to movies where we cant concentrate on the movie because of a bunch of rude children.

It's too bad those kids didnt have a parent chaperone-ing them. Maybe then they would have behaved better.

At least they werent throwing popcorn, but having a bright cellphone waved in front of my face is probably more annoying than getting popcorn in my hair. Especially when you've got serious photophobia (light sensitivity) and Dust-Bowl-era-worthy dry eyes.

This one I dont have to worry about anymore, but I couldnt stand the sound of my dog licking his....feet (and other areas)

Reason why I dont have to worry about it anymore is because the dog died in March 2006.

At least I trained him to stop on command. He'd stop for an hour or two and then start up again. While I was trying to sleep.

I think the dog keeping me awake for so many years (slept in my room) is why I dont really sleep more than 2 or three hours at a time without waking up all the time.

I haven't been to a movie in a theater in years.....probably at least 10!!! It's always so loud and I cannot sit that long in one position. Then, too, there are the fifty bathroom visits so.....it's just not a fun experience anymore for me!! :o

As for the cell phone toting teenagers.....I'd have marched right up to the manager or usher and told them that I paid full price for my ticket and I expect them to control the patrons who cannot seem to control themselves. That or ask the unruly ones to leave. If they didn't - I'd have told them I wanted my money back.

I have little patience for people who think they are entitled to control the environment of a public area.

Boyfriend wouldnt let me go complain...and I didnt really want to have to crawl over those kids to get there. I was also a little worried that they'd either start a riot if the manager came to escort them out, or that they'd be waiting to jump us outside in the parking lot after the movie.

There have been a few incidents at movie theatres here in Omaha where people have been shot for tattling on the bratty kids. I didnt have any kevlar or a battle helmet to protect myself with that night.

:holysheep: I think I'd wait and watch it on DVD than risk going to the theater if it's that bad!!!

Wow, I was wondering what was going on with me. I'm assuming the intolerance to noise is an MS thing? I've noticed I have become much more sensitive to noise, stimulation, large groups of people etc. I never used to be like that. I used to love lots of lights, noise, stimulation, big cities etc. Now the radio on in the car sometimes drives me CRAZY. And the television too. The worst part is my husband has lost hearing in one of his ears so he needs to have everything a little bit louder...so I am constantly turning things down and he is constantly turning things up. And sporting events on television -- the buzz and the annoying announcers drive me insane. Although this could be entirely un-related to MS and just a "I'm not a sports fan" thing. :)
