Contrary to popular belief, disability is not always hard to get. You just have to be well prepared and know the rules ahead of time.

You MUST MUST MUST have a good MD behind you, who is willing to have his staff fill out the paperwork that is gonna come flying out, and need the MD signature as validation that you are disabled. The stronger the reccomendation from your MD, the easier time you will have with the SSDI folks.

Please, speak to the counselors at the SSDI or welfare office. They usually have an incredible staff of VERY well informed people. I found them to be one of my best resources. They will tell you step by step how to do what you need to do. If you need help filling out or understanding papers, they will assign someone to you. Most people think that the SSDI office workers are out to deny their claim, and dont trust them. DONT make that mistake. They are a valueable resource.

As long as you have a strong MD behind you, it can be a one two three venture.

Have you thought about a job that doesnt require you to be near a hot oven all day? WOW! that would have me weeping in the corner, and sucking my thumb.
