That doesnt always mean you meds are not working. It can be stress, or weather, or you could be fighting an infection, or working your way up to a cold/flu situation.
How long has this been going on? What preceeded the event? Good things can be just as stressful as bad things. Is anyone at home, or in your close circle sick? Are you peeing more frequently? Do it burn to pee? Have you had a liver enzyme test? ?Has it been hotter than normal lately? See? there are lots of questions that need to be covered before you can jump into the "is my med still working" circle. I want some days to blame my meds for everything, lay down the needle and be done with it. Everyone keeps telling me to hang in there.

Another question of the century that I really believe no one has the answer to but my experience has been that my MRI has stayed stable for the last 6 years but my symptoms haven't.
I have been on Rebif and now Copaxone in those 6 years so I would say they are working but not keeping new sx at bay for me.

I dunno. I"m on rebif, and still get those. All of the above, then some, but I haven't lost anything major since the rebif. I'm an oddball. My flairs use to leave me with something permanent each time. Now it seems like they aren't as severe, and sometimes I recover. Now heat..well, that's another story. I feel like I'm gonna die after being out in the heat, and always recover fully.
![]() I don't think rebif can help with just plain ms symptoms. I just call it a flair when something major stops working right, and stays like that for 48 hours or more with no let up. Others have told me I let it get too far before I call it a flair, so who knows. |

Since there is no medication that will stop your MS from progressing, just having more symptoms/problems doesn't mean the medication is not working. Even your Doctor doesn't know, even if they say they do.
