Dexamethasone is oral Decadron. Thrush is a side effect is nasty stuff. The treatment medication is nasty too! I've had it once from a 5-day IVSM.

It's basically a nasty oral yeast infection. The drug I took was Fluconazole.

Good luck with the treatment and why did your doc do the Decadron?
She wanted to try something different. I told her I didn't want IV steroids because of my veins. I was having really bad flare up of optic neuritus unable to drive. Plus my legs are literally like standing on hot coals.Needless to say I hope I get over this thrush soon I tell you my mouth feels horrible.Hugs and hope you have a great day.
