For those with MS they could get their prescription from their doctor and pick up their joints at the pharmacy. What other illnesses were included I do not know but MS was one of them!

I have a friend who actually received MJ as pills, not joints, as part of his cancer treatment (not sure what State off hand). He said they helped immensely.
I wasn't a huge fan myself of MJ for recreational use, but I did find that when I had severe cramps from my monthly visitor (before I knew I had severe endometriosis), MJ didn't make me 'high', it did completely take away the pain of the cramps I had! If we're taking this for sx in a controlled amount, I don't think we'd experience such the euphoric effects of it, as those who use it for recreational purposes. Or I should certainly hope not!
