If it is, it's the old fashioned kind without the adhesive (which would make it better for the books. I was going to suggest that too, Sassy. They're great! I don't have one, but I know people who use them.

Yes, it does, it even works on laps, preferably your own, for reading purposes.

I found a book holder at the thrift (fancy words for used crap) store - 1 buck. Made out of lucite and designed for holding cookbooks on the counter. They had several book holders in a variety of styles and quality.

I use lots of pillows to prop my arms and the book. A pillow under each arm and another on my lap, at whatever slant is comfortable, to "hold" the book. Also pillows behind my head!

I thus repose on a puffy mountain of smooshy pillows and revel in life and literature.

Smooshy pillows are the key to happiness in life.

Why don't you get Dan to hold the book?

He could hold the book with one hand and a pretty little fan in the other.

You could stay nice and cool and when you are done with one page just say "turn please"
