My doctor's out for a week, go figure

Copaxone, Amitriptyline, Clonazepam.

I take a silly low amount of Clonazepam, and this problem was there well before that.

I'm placing my money on the Amitriptyline. I did notice it much more after the dose increase, so gonna try 10mg, seemed to do ok with that.

I have taken 2 out of 3 of these, Amitriptyline is the only one I haven't taken, the other 2 didn't give me any issues so you may be right.

I always have had low blood pressure, and really shouldn't because I am a long-time smoker.

I have a blood pressure monitor, and keep an eye on things. When I start to get periods of light-headedness (which can occur for several weeks at a time), I eat about a dozen pretzels.

HOWEVER, if you think this might be caused by your meds, and it is making you feel unwell, I don't think a bandaide (pretzels) is the right solution for you. You should talk to your doc!

Cherie

Have you been tested for anemia lately? Just got tested myself for that and a few other things. But I do recall when I was pg with ds#1, my tests showed low-iron and it was the same dizzy when I stand up too quickly feeling like you describe, and also what I've been living with for the past several weeks.

I hope you get to speak with your dr upon his return from vacation.

Yes to anemia testing recently. Cherie, me too (smoking for a long time, I know, bad!). Doesn't make much sense about the low bp there does it?

I took 10mg of Amitriptyline last night, so we'll see how today goes, because it was honestly an everyday, every time I stood up quickly event.

Plus Amitriptyline dries my already dry mouth out horribly

So I did only take 10mg last night of Amitriptyline, and I have not had the light headed feeling at all today yet. Overall feeling better. No doubt remains about me having that side effect.
