This has been happening for a while now. My doctors have always remarked that I have low blood pressure.
I take Amitriptyline. My neuro recently increased the amount from 10mg to 20mg. I had been light headed before the increase. Now, it's almost constant when I stand up (I have to stand up slowly to avoid it). Could it be that Amitriptyline is causing this? I recently introduced Clonazepam into the mix, but the light headedness was there before that. Edit: Actually, dizziness and light headedness are listed as side effects. Maybe I'll try reducing dose from 20mg to 10mg again, since it's the Clonazepam that is really the key in controlling the burning mouth syndrome (why I take both) http://depression.emedtv.com/amitrip...e-effects.html

![]() Clonazepam I don't believe is the same as Flexeril (could be very wrong). Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. Does not appear Flexeril is in what I'm briefing over. No fever, and no I have not tried the blood pressure in 3 positions, but I really should get my doctor to try that for me ![]()

curious when they first freaked about my bp and cholesterol they put me on caduet 5/40 mgs well I ended up in hospital because the caduet was too strong and the doc hospital doc suspected it was the steroid that spiked my BP, and now the caduet had me so dizzy and light headed my bp was 80 over 50, not bad if you are a snail running, are you on any other meds that may be giving any side effects have you double checked what you are on?, might be worth it may find it could be something else I dont recall how many meds you were taking I know of one and one when needed? have you called the doctors?

My doctor's out for a week, go figure
![]() Copaxone, Amitriptyline, Clonazepam. I take a silly low amount of Clonazepam, and this problem was there well before that. I'm placing my money on the Amitriptyline. I did notice it much more after the dose increase, so gonna try 10mg, seemed to do ok with that.

I have taken 2 out of 3 of these, Amitriptyline is the only one I haven't taken, the other 2 didn't give me any issues so you may be right.
