Thumbs up MRI results - 3 month post HiCy treatment

I got the results back from my 3 month follow-up MRI. (it was 3 months on October 6 - which coincidentally was just about 9 months since I first got sick and dx.)

NO NEW LESIONS!!

NO ENHANCING LESIONS!!

And the report said "SLIGHT" improvement on previous lesions!!

I don't have the report in front of me (left it in friend's car)....but it wasn't bad news by any means.

No lesions whatsoever on cervical or thoracic spine (had had C-spine MRI once...but never T spine).

I'm quite happy - as my last MRI had 2 new lesions... (after 5 weeks on Copaxone and 1 Tysabri treatment)

Appt with my local neuro was also very positive. Even though I'm having some issues (not happy that I have a few symptoms - but it had been 100+ degrees for more than 2 weeks and I have a cold or virus that my immune system hasn't been able to kick) the exam was amazingly different than my previous exams!! Even the neuro commented on a positive note (and I don't think he is capable of emotion), so this was huge.

Also had a NEGATIVE Romberg test for the first time since dx in January!!

I can't believe it!!!

My hair is growing back - have some nice peach fuzz - actually, a little more than that....however, it is coming in very grey (salt n pepper) - and I'm only 32....so I'm not thrilled about that....but I'm going to be coloring it this weekend. I still wear a wig to work when I see clients...otherwise, I wear a hat or scarf....though lately I sometimes take it off and go without anything.

Anyhow, just wanted to share.

My blog is almost fully done - so I will post that shortly.

I continue to remain very grateful for having the HiCy treatment - I've now had 3 months of improvement and NO worsening....which is a complete turnaround from the previous 6 months, when I was worsening daily.

Twinkle - I like your bouncing heads on the trampoline...tonight my 2yo g-dson/nephew had me jumping in the house - jumping over the space station he made out of magna-tiles, then up and down the steps that separate some of the rooms, etc. Jumping and bouncing like the puppy.... Ho hum. Couldn't have done that before this treatment!
See,I did this:

And Journey's mama saw that and thought:

But low and behold...Holy Sheep - I didn't go thud. I giggled and laughed as I jumped around the room at the end of a long day playing with and chasing the two year old!!

Keri, A friend of mine has been sharing your journey with me. She is hopeful that I will get an opportunity to try it as well. I wanted to touch base and thank you for being so open in sharing all of this with us, the world at large. It is a true blessing to share it with you in a tiny way.
Know that I continue to pray for your ongoing wellness and only the very best in health yet to come!!
