I *used* to be a good girl.
now I'm more like that eccentric aged auntie, with the welcoming arms, and ribald sense of humor. oh, Gazzy, you should SEE some of my latest batch of hairy chickens! I've got half-a-dozen nudie-necks, one that lookes like a jarhead, and one with a blonde mullet... my favorite is the one whose naked neck is half-clothed in front, with white feathers, so it looks like she's wearing a white silk cowl, artistically draped for odd exposure.

Oh I LOVE them. They're hysterical. Did you name one of them Gazelle or Harry?
They look really soft--I mean IF you could get close enough to pet them. (Not that people go around petting chickens.) They sort of remind me of Chinese Crested Hairless dogs. Have you seen the Skinny Cavies and the Baldwin Cavies?

oh, those aren't mine, they're from S & M Poultry (gasp, lol!)
those're Silkie and Nudie Neck crosses, called Showgirls. http://www.freewebs.com/snmpoultry/showgirls.htm mine are similar, but not quite so HAIRY... being muttly crosses. my camera had a meltdown, so I'm out of commission photo-wise, until my pal gets here from Canada, with a replacement Nikon digital for me. but I'm a visual person, so I wanted to SHOW you the hairy chickens, instead of describing... a picture's worth a thousand words... so, I hunted on teh Google, 'til I found something *close* plus, satisfying the overarching desire to cause you to burst into helpless mirth. in a few weeks, I'll post pix of my REAL hairy gals for ya, Stotty. from Good Vibrations to CHICKS, in a single bound... look, up in the sky, it's a bird, it's a plane NOPE, it's a Hairy Chicken !!

(And what exactly do you know about the company Good Vibrations, my dear woman?) Um.... yes, look it up on the web. The catalogs come delicately wrapped for modesty sake.

I wish I could tell you not to worry, and that it'll go away, but you know I can't. I've been waiting for mine to go away for a long time now. But here's the thing, don't be scared or worried. I could just as easily wake up tomorrow morning with my hands feeling completely back to normal. However, if that doesn't happen it's okay because I've adapted. You just adapt and compensate and eventually you don't even realize it. It just becomes second nature. I can say that when you lose something, physically or mentally it amazes me at what my body can do to adjust. I've had a significant loss of sensation in my hands and feet but I've adjusted and now I rarely think about it. MS will present us with many challenges in our life, but Char, our minds and bodies will rise to the occasion and you will suprise yourself! And of course you have the prayers and support of those of us who LOVE YOU!

After this, it might be a good idea to leave the description of the sensation alone or write it out and shove the paper at your neuro.
Oh gosh, we did get a bit off topic on your thread. And I love how JessieSue totally ignored any commentary but stuck to the topic. Cayo, And yes, I'm looking forward to seeing the dressed up gal and the Jarhead. So when you get the camera you gotta post some pics of the necked neck hairy chickens. Glad I could edumucate you on the Skinnys.
