OK...So...nobody knows nuttin huh? That's alright, I don't don't know nuttin, either..
![]() I just hope it's a good med and will help my DD. She is sooooo scared. This is the first time in the last four years, that she has come out of her Remission.. ![]() ![]() She doesn't want to do the shots, so is opting for this Oral Med Study. It's a phase 3 study and has had possitive results, so far, with reducing attacks and lesions. I hope she will be on the real thing. Thanks for listening to a worried Mommy. ![]() ![]() Please say a little prayer that she will feel better, soon.. ![]()

Aww, Sally, I'm sorry she's having to go through this. Wow, four years without an attack is pretty darn good, though!
I haven't heard of this trial but it sounds promising. I'm all for anything that doesn't require a daily or weekly shot!! She (and you) are in my prayers. ![]()

As a mother, I truly understand how you must be feeling, Sally. But please try not to feel guilty about everything....you certainly didn't pass on the MS on purpose which I'm sure she understands. Probably like me, you didn't even know you had this wonderful disease when she was born. I'll be praying that she's getting the real thing and those exacerbations will stay away!!!
![]() That med does sound promising and anything that isn't a shot sounds even better. Don't you wish there had been things like this back in the day?????? LOL

Here is info on Arava:
http://www.rxlist.com/arava-drug.htm Arava just was too toxic for most RA patients, and is not frequently used. There was some controversy about getting it approved at the FDA. (some doctors were against it) I don't know anything about teriflunomide, or whether it is less toxic or not. I did see some articles about it when I Googled.

Go over to the This Is MS forums, and do a search for "Teriflunomide". There are several threads with various bits of information on it there.
