Default Help,I have a question about spasms ?

For the last week or so,I've been having like vibrations or spasms in my abdomen area it's like almost constant it's really bothering me when I'm just sitting still or when I go to bed just lying there before I fall asleep it's weird. My question is ? Is this MS related. And has any of you guys or gals experienced this thanks. p.s. I 've had muscle twitches before on my arms, legs, stomach etc where you see the muscle move, but this seems different like it's internal or something.

Yes, I've had that. I had it when the L'Hermitt's was acting up alot.

When you move your head in certain positions does it become more intense? Whenever I'd lower my chin to my chest it got worse....never hurt or anything but was just the sensation of vibration. It eventually went away on it's own.

yes I have had this, yes it is annoying, I also get it a wee bit lower when I have a UTI, I would say if it continues call doc and let him or her know about it, try to not over do it and rest when you can to help ease the muscle strains, i hope it gets to feeling better real soon.

I get my spasms there too, and sometimes it is a spasm of something inside, like the bladder. I agree if it keeps up to think about seeing the doc just to make sure nothing else is going on. Hope this gets better for ya soon.

I had what I termed "internal vibrations" where it felt like things inside were moving. Was very, very strange feeling and it was disturbing too, like you noted. They went away eventually.

But I agree that if it keeps up you should call your doc and let them know. That's always a safe bet.

Took me a bit of time to respond, sorry. Anyway, yes for sure I have had them. The ones in my legs are treated with medicine (more in a sec). The ones we are talking about here though are a tad different. Like everyone else, I would for sure report it to your doc so that it get's into your chart.

See, everything is evidence and or clues that help the doctor determine types and amounts of treatments. The more information, the better the big picture, the more refined the treatment, the better you feel.

These usually do go away in time. Since I am now paralyzed from the waist down, I tend to look at it as a form of exercise and simply allow the area to shake. It will stop when it get's tired enough.

My legs.... It was explained to me once, after I took enough meds to completely stop the spasms, that a small amount of spasticity is/can be, a good thing. It can be used to get an extremity to move when the signal is a bit fuzzy.

The bottom line here is, talk it over with your doc and see what they say. What works for me, might not work for you. Then again....
