I don't think they will ever have a show like The Cosby show and Mash!!!!!! Both are great learning experiences. Cosby on how to raise a family and Mash on not worrying about petty things in life.

Has anyone here mentioned "Grey's Anatomy"? I adore that show. My husband and I used to watch the series "24" also, but it doesn't seem to be on anymore, or they may have moved it. We were able to buy last year's series on DVD and we have yet to view it.

I LOVE Extreme Makeover, home edition. That's gotta be my fav. I love lots of others mentioned too: CSI, ER, some reality shows. (Fortunately), I no longer watch soaps.

I find the acting and writing on Grey's Anatomy to be fake, I prefer ER by far for its realistic portrayal... GA just seems too phony and "acted".

Haven't watched any of the new ones but I hear Prison Break is fantastic. I also like Dog too. I haven't watched House but I've heard nothing but good things about that one either.

I do like Deal or No Deal and 1 vs. 100 too.

Chris, I do enjoy Grey's Anatomy and yes wanneby, it is a bit fake or I would call it Camp rather than fake. ER is a more serious Medical show.

BBS, I never liked Seinfield. I just found it too silly for my taste, but then, so was Lucy, and I laughed my head off at that show. The comedy I watched religeosly was Ev. Loves Raymond, and still watch the reruns.

I have the TV on all the time for noise, it's my companion now...What an exciting life..Huh!

This past couple of weeks, while trying to recover from being so sick, I've watche TV...for the first time in years....during the day time. I've decided I do not like soaps or infomercials or home shopping networks...or even most of the talk shows. I have ended up watching old Westerns on AMC or old Star Trek (and spin off) shows.

Have always been an ER fan. Like Grey's Anatomy. Always watch Survivor if I can. Like the writing and acting in NCIS and The Unit.

Anyone been watching "Men in Trees" -- I am really enjoying it.

And I try and find "Golden Girls" and "Designing Women" reruns.

All chick flicks and funny. Gail

Gsodie, I love Men in trees!!!!!! But I also love ER. Last night they said they are moving Men in trees to Thursday at 9!!!!!!!!! I guess I'll have to learn how to use the VCR. It is confusing to me what to do when I have one remote for the TV and another for the VCR. I used to be the one that would show my husband how to do anything electrical. But now I can't hardly understand it.

Doydie -- I know -- I saw that they are moving it -- but out here it won't be on until 10:00 thursdays -- I am going to have to tape it too...cannot stay up quite that late. 5:30 comes to early.... Man o man!!!

Sally -- Men in Trees is set in a little town in Alaska where a female writer went to talk to them about 'relationships'. there are about 10 men in this town to every 1 woman. She ended up staying there after she found out her 'city' boyfriend was cheating on her. The men there are 'real men' -- rugged -- no jewlery, straight to the point honest, secure and are pretty good looking in their flanel shirts. Bascially, what most of us dream about (or maybe thats just me). Anyway -- I think its fresh, entertaining and, from what I've heard about Alaska--not too far from the truth about these small communities there. Just wish the men part were true. OH well -- Hope you are doing better tonite Sally. Been worried about you. Take care kiddo -- Gail
