Unhappy Minor cold that won't quit

I've had a minor cold for two weeks that is kicking my ever-loving butt. I don't really feel bad, just stuffy and phlegmy, and for the first time ever had some congestion in my chest (gone now). But this thing just won't go away. And tired? I didn't go to work yesterday because I was too tired. I went to bed at 7pm Wednesday night, and didn't get up Thursday until 2 in the afternoon! I went to bed Thursday night at 7:30 pm. I'm probably still too tired today, but I'm going to go to work.

I plan to sleep all weekend, hoping for the best, without making a trip to either my GP or my neuro, but maybe I should, though what they can do I don't know.

This does seem to be something that's going around. There's been several at work with it, and my son too. But I'm worried that it may be a flare or something else? Ideas??
