Hi everyone,
Feeling sick today, and normally I wouldn't even bring it up except that I had an allergic reaction to Bactrim DS including a rash on my legs and torso. I was taking it for a UTI. I'd taken two days worth (four pills). Someone said on my other thread that sulpha allergies are common for those with penicillin allergies. I have both now. I also have muscle aches, chills and bad headache. Last night I started to bloat around my mid-section and I wasn't passing a lot of urine. So, I called the doctor this morning and he said to stop the Bactrim because it's an allergic reaction. I haven't had a flu type virus in almost 30 years. Is it sometimes accompanied by bloating and retaining water? I just hope the Bactrim wasn't hurting my kidneys. They're working better today but not passing as much liquid as before. BTW, I got some Macrobid to replace the Bactrim, but I'm not going to start it until tonight and let the Bactrim get out of my system some more. Thanks in advance for any advice... ![]() ![]()
