I scored a 161....but since I have MS I tend to do things slower than usual and I have to keep a schedule of activities if I want to remember any of them! But....I think I'm a Type B regardless of the MS.

Holy carp, Cherie just described me to a T (Type A personality). She'll know what I mean.

I can feel a HUGE health difference in periods when my stress and anxiety are at all time lows, and terrible during periods of higher stress and anxiety.

I can 110% say, while MS was lurking for much longer.... it was buying my first house that required 109208349 repairs (and not minor ones) and dealing with a jerk contractor that 'triggered' my dark period of limbo to diagnosis.

I may still be only feeling mild symptoms of MS and be undiagnosed otherwise, had it not been for the amount of stress involved in living in a house on jackposts for 2 months + with rain pouring in your basement, with the house rocking anytime the wind blew (and I'm in the Maritimes... so you can just IMAGINE) and then finally once that is all settled, your roof leaks all over the place in your closet.

Oh, and finding out you wasted $300 on your home inspector who can't tell the difference between knob and tube, aluminum and copper wiring. Another fully unexpected cost.

And the furnace that broke down EVERY WINTER.

I think I lived in the land of "Hi, we're going to help trigger your Multiple Sclerosis" for those 3 years. Oh, and the relationship that crumbled to pieces.

Edit: Score was 210 actually.

Wow dmplaura, you're lucky that whole thing didn't send you to your grave!!

Every time my DH asks about a new house, I think of all the work and politely decline.

Well, I'm a 285 on the test. Problem is, I have a lot of type A personality traits but I force myself to take things slower than I used to. I can't do everything I used to.

For instance, in 1994 before I had my car accident I was president of my neighborhood association and put together the monthly newsletter (and delivered it), was in school 3/4 time, worked full-time, volunteered at my kids' school, was an adult literacy tutor and.... well, cooked, cleaned, did laundry, paid bills, did the taxes....... you get the picture. After the car accident, I had to withdraw from almost everything and I was on LTD. It pretty much sucked.

I relax as hard as I work, however. So when I'm working, I'm really productive. When I'm relaxing, I'm really relaxing HARD!

Came from a household where my dad was really Type A (to a T) and my mom was wacked out. So I tend to be more people pleasing, can't say "no" type, but I'm in a profession where I have to be aggressive and sometimes hostile although I do try to keep that out of my personal life if I can. I know that that doesn't always happen.

This would make a great poll thread just for the fun of it.

I took the test, and don't laugh at this but, I took it all with a grain of salt. You can guess what type I am. LOL. I scored a 154.

Maybe if I took it today it would be lower, maybe higher who knows. I am sure if I took it in during a high stress time, my scores would reflect that and be higher and during less stressful times it would be lower.

I don't have MS (I have another neurological chronic pain condition) but my grandma suffered from Progressive MS. I believe she had a Type A personality, she was one of those people that always wanted to help others, put herself last, didn't have much time to rest and relax, was always on the go etc etc. From what my mum has said (I wasn't born when my nanan was diagnosed with RSD), the neurologist asked my mum and my grandad to describe my nanans personality has back in those days, if you had a Type A or B personality, you were more prone to developing RSD. Whether that is true or not, I don't know but I have seen many articles on the internet that say the same thing.

It is the same for my neurological condition (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome), if you have a Type A or B personality, you are thought to be more at risk of developing it.
