Wow Jan, you've made my day! That's excellent news, and your new doc is certainly a keeper.

So what if you have to wait a little while she takes some time off? Im sure the wait will be worth it knowing you've finally found someone who listens, and someone who treats like a proper human being, instead of a number and possibly even a $$$ sign.

I truly hope the person who stands in for her while she's on leave, is just as approachable as this lady appears to be. Best of luck to you.

I have one of those wonderful PCPs too, Jan. I dropped my Neuro and only see my PCP now. He actually called me at home, last month, to tell me my blood tests results and how proud he was at how well I am doing. He always gives me a hug too..

Lucky You, Jan.

YESS even though the new PCP is pregnant she got right on the referral as her office already called me. But the new neuro will not make an appt until he gets ALL the records and READS them BEFORE your appt. Thats how he sets up the length of your first appt..cool..eh?

She knows this neuro is thorough and doesnt give up easily. Her own mother is seeing him and has an unusual neuro history that no one knew how to treat.

He is one of 3 in the STATE who takes folks with Autonomic neuro problems.

I am debating as my insurance WILL pay but if he orders tests then I'll have a bigger deductible...$$1100 rather than $500 if in my network. I thought it may be worth it to get an appt..then wait till next year January to have the diagnositc tests done THEN decide what to do.

If its going to be just more meds.. then I dont want anyone as the PCP can RX what I need and will. Its getting an answer to my complicated history.
