Hi all! I hope this isn't an inconvience but I'm wondering if anyone has experienced double vision with either their MS or as a result of their medications. My dad was diagnosed with MS a year ago and has been reacting well to meds so far, but recently has been experiencing double vision. I have double vision myself because I have another neurological condition called Myaesthenia Gravis. Any info or experiences individuals could share would be great! Thank you,
~Kathy |

Hi Kathy! Double vision was the sx that earned me my dx of MS! I had a severe bout of it in 2005 and that's what sent me on my journey of doctors until they discovered what was wrong (through an MRI). It lasted 4-6 months and I've never had it as bad since although visual sx are my main problem whenever I have a flareup.

double vision and also have had rolling/jumpy vision a few times (nystagmus). Ask him if covering one eye or the other helps.

Thank you all so much for replying to my post! I forgot to mention that my Dad is in Canada and I'm in Scotland so it makes everything a little bit harder. He was diagnosed quite late (apparently) at 65. He has an appointment to see his doctor tomorrow, but he was speaking to someone today and they figure it is just a flare up and he will probably get some steriods to get him over the hump. Thanks again for taking the time to share! I wish you all the best!
