Good for you, Joe!

Glad your SSDI was approved and that you're in such a good mood.

Funny how even if things aren't really better, if your attitude is, they seem better. That's all that counts anyway isn't it?

And if you are in a good mood, it tends to be contagious.

life is good at my little farm here in the jungle.

my pig is pregnant, my goat is giving milk, I have four pregnant guinea pigs, and three ducks on nests,

the last two batches of eggs we hatched in the incubator came out pretty good, and I can tell my black rooster Klaus has been very busy, as there's half a dozen pretty black chicks,.,

our six geese have paired off, and begun mating, and soon will begin to lay their eggs (note to self, REMEMBER to bug hubby to build nest boxes!)

Thanksgiving dinner was excellent, and our guests from England had their FIRST American-style feast, lol, not even in the US of A... which struck us as pretty funny after the bottle of blackberry wine was finished.

so, all-in-all, all's going well.

Way to go Joe!!

My happy positive thought, is that I'M A GRANDMA!!

Yes, my first grandson was born on the 23rd, and of course he is the cutest little guy in the entire world! He has a lot of dark hair, and the tiniest little features.

And I get to have my second grandchild born right after Christmas, a little granddaughter!

So, life is good.

Joe, I appreciate your upbeat attitude.

Although I was also approved quickly for SSDI, I am struggling with the reality of not being able to be employed.

I am grateful that I received my first SSDI check several days ago, and I am grateful that I am well enough to do some volunteering, and to be able to choose and limit my hours to work around my naps, which I wouldn't be able to do if employed.

But, I don't want to be disabled. I don't want to have MS. I cried when I saw someone at my large extended Thanksgiving reunion who works in a field similar to my previous field, and she asked what I was doing now. She just got a new job, and it was one that I would've enjoyed.

I don't wish to be a downer. Really, again, I want to say that I appreciate your upbeat attitude. I also have a strong faith and a strong support system. i just need to get my head out of my butt. Threads like yours remind me of that. But, I guess I need to allow myself time to grieve, too, and that seems to be the process that I'm currently in.

~ Faith

Congratulations Joe!! I'm glad things are looking up for you

Faith, hopefully you can find some balance soon and something that makes you happy with your situation. Keep praying about it. I'm sure there is some fullfilling thing you can still do, even if it means redefining those dreams. I know you are working on that with your volunteering!! Hang in there!
