I was down walking on the treadmill when on my shin of my right leg I got this quick pain. I nearly fell off the treadmill the first time - I think it was more shock than anything but it hurt like h e double hockey sticks!
![]() I have had the needle pain around my entire body now for a while but this was the worse I have ever had!! It hurt and hurt bad! just venting.

Ouch! That hurts!
I had what felt like someone was poking me with an ice pick just above my knee cap once for about 6 weeks. You know, that is no fun. ![]()

Not that this helps but I get that often---My right knee--
Using my before as my guide---Many treadmills are not ergonomically correct---They just do not work well with the body and it becomes a very unnatural process----I used to do about 10 miles per day on them----At the gym---And had to find the one that did not cause me pain----this was my before this stuff--- Also if you had it on any incline that could cause that----I used to get it often---But for my job--I had to be able to run miles up hills--we are talking steep hills----So I do know the incline even slight could cause that-- OK--now the last one---The wrong or worn out correct shoe----Even the proper shoes have a certain time-or mileage that they are good for---The wrong shoe--Is just H-ll..And will cause pain at sometime--- Now good ole me always get right knee pain------ Hopefully yours was something that can be easily fixed---If it persists and you want to keep working out---The machine that slides back and forth like a skiing or skating motion my be OK--- Hoping for you..

What can happen is the shin muscle is tight and pulls away from the shin bone. ![]() To warm up, just walk for a minute or two, to get the blood flowing. Stop. Then do some light stretches. I can PM you specifics if you need them. Then back and do yoru walking. Start flat and gradually work up the incline. (over days, weeks) You need to give the shins a rest. Cold or cool packs if you notice any swelling. Otheriwse a nice warm bath with epson salt. Don't get back on the treadmill until all soreness is gone. ![]() ![]()
