You brought tears to my eyes. What a blessing you have had.

AfterMyNap 02-23-2009 03:21 PM

Thanks, guys, it is a banner day!

Dear Judy, it's $6k altogether plus the PT I'll be doing for the next few months. It's right here in town.

I am doing a 4-month trial at $500 a month to see if it's the right thing for me and at the end of $2k, I will decide whether to fork out the remainder.

If it goes as well as I hope, I think I'll be parting with a few bucks here.

I justify it thus: If I add up what I spent on recreation, like skiing, snowshoeing, hiking/camping & gear, bikes, and all the other equipment-dependent activities, it's probably a lot less money over the long haul. It's worth it! And, by the grace of God and dead relatives, I'm in a position to do it right now. To me, it's a God thing all the way. It might not have worked at all for me. I think it's meant to be.

Amen~~~~~~~~~~~~

I too have tears in my eyes and goosebumps on my arm. (Well, ok, I'll be honest. I have goosebumps on my right arm as my left arm doesn't do that anymore.;))

I am really happy for you and hope the trial period goes well for you.:hug:

My friends, I tell you the truth, anyone who has seen me hobble will NOT even believe this thing! I'm so totally excited, I can hardly describe it!

*insert ALL moving smilies*

After some tweaking and a few false starts, Jerry had me walking at an amazing clip (for me) for 9 straight minutes and I wasn't even tired! I walked about 20 steps WITH NO WALKER OR CANE and was able to right my balance on my own the one time when I thought it was getting away from me.

I laughed, I cried, I laughed again and my face hurts from smiling. When mine comes in, all made just for me, I'm going to walk to Toad Hollow and kick DM on the first try!!!!!

I am so happy for you Cindy! It was meant to be. Thanks for making our day.

PS: Does this mean I can hug you and dance around without knocking you over now? lol

PSS: Jim said to tell you he's very proud you have this! He just saw the video and said that would have helped him when he had drop foot. He said way to go and take a couple of steps for him.
