I haven't had a computer, phone, TV since Monday night. The snow and
ice storm Kentucky has had was awful. Moved to Kentucky and never expected to get this kind of weather like we used to get in the NorthEast. Just got connected to life within the past hour. Missed a week of all my buddies, it was driving me crazy not knowing what was happening. Anyone else live in Kentucky and had problems because of the storm. I was told this was the worst that they ever had. My DS lost many trees on his property. A tree fell across their long driveway, they couldn't get out for awhile till DS cut the tree up. I am so happy that I didn't loose electric, that was more important then anything else. Many, Many people lost so much. I thank God that I made it through with minor loss. How has everyone been? I am sure that I won't be able to catch up and read 1 weeks posting. I hope this was the last of the snow. Jappy

Hi ya Jappy, I've been thinking about you and wondering if you were OK....Glad you are and Yes, enough snow already. Our electricity didn't go out this time, for which I am thankful, but we got almost as bad as you, with the snow, then ice then snow on top of that.
I wish it would warm up enough to melt...schools are still either closed or delaying opening. Read Dejavo's Uncle thread..

i'm glad you and your family are ok jappy.
i've been following the storms on CNN and it's just awful. be well. i'm fine. stable and boring. my new motto for this yr. it's a good thing.

Welcome back Jappy!
I was so shocked to hear about the weather in Kentucky. I hope this is a rare occurrence for you there.

I'm back in my own home now also!!!! I can't remember what newscaster said that they were calling this the 100 year storm. We were without power for almost 6 days. My cat had no problems staying here though. I fixed up a nice warm tent with her favorite afghan inside it and she was just fine. I have two daughters. One lives in Lexington, Ky and the other here in town - Evansville In. Both of them had full power. So we stayed at my daughters house here in town so we could check on our house and cat daily.
