Default Just call me wiley coyote

I went ***splat*** today, right in front of a store. Luckily it was before I got my purchases. I'm pretty sure the canvas would not have survived, lol.

My left foot wouldn't come up all the way and it hit the edge of a sidewalk. Went down pretty hard and very surprised all I have is a bruise and a couple of scrapes. Thankfully I got my arms out to prevent a face plant. First reaction was fear, then anger, and then I had to laugh. There I was - pretty much spread eagle like a cartoon character - with the auto door opening and closing since I landed right in front of it.

Never fell in such a public setting before. Pretty humbling experience, I will admit. Even though I wanted to go crawl under a rock, managed to get myself up and do my shopping. But can't help but wonder if this might be something the neuro should know. Wondering if anyone can help me decide whether or not I should call him.

Thanks.

Oh, and if you see that road runner. Ask for an ice pack run.

No one was around to help the time I went splat. I managed to time it between small rushes in and out of the store. Can we say that guy Murphey is a real good friend of mine?

My neuro usually asks if I have fallen. So sorry for you the answer would be yes. I fell off a chair yesterday while looking up on the top shelf of the pantry. Just lost my balance. I didn't break anything just like you, bruised a little and it hurt like crazy.

But it's good you can have a sense of humor about it. I guess we might as well, right?!

I too once went splat in front of a grocery store. There was one lady and her mother there and all they could do was look at me like I must be drunk.

I abraded my elbow on the concrete and was bleeding. No offer of assistance from these women.

Luckily, I knew most of the cashiers in the store and after I got myself up and into the store, a nice cashier went to the pharmacy department and got a box of first aid supplies and bandaged me up.

Fin, a warm bath with epson salt will help with soreness.

I think you have to do a spin to get a 10. Or be wearing a skirt.

I just read this and am so glad your ok. I would document the fall and see if you notice this happening more often as suggested. Definately tell your neuro at the next appointment for sure. Jim used to fall so much it became normal. His biggest problem was his braces and crutches. The darn things had a mind of their own.
