Default evoked potentials abnormal in my eye!??

Hmmm, so got the news that my latest Evoked potential testing came back, and the nurse called to tell me the limb ones are fine normal! I was surprised as my right leg having so much troubles, did not even toe twitch at highest speed they could give the pulse. But then when tried again it did.

anyhow, she mentioned my right eye one was not normal, and made sure I do have a apt with neuro soon, which I do. She said he will go over the testing results more. Thinking not much will come from this testing results.

Anyone have abnormal evoked on eye, and what did it mean for you?? Just curious all, hugsss and thanks, sarah

I had abnormal EVP on my R eye.
It was the one that I had optic neuritis in and I had the EVP a month after the vision cleared up and the ON was supposedly gone.

HUGS to YOU Sarah ~!

Well.. I have my own feelings about some testing. Its measurable.. often helpful..but if YOU the individual dont FIT into a calculated test then they infer the test is normal?? NORMAL???? When you have all the symptoms you have??

BUT.. at least she TOLD you something was wrong with your eye.. not normal stuff.. its a hope..isn't it? I mean SOMETHING is now showing..that EVERYTHING has been wrong with you??

I am crossing my fingers..saying my prayers that they DO find a box your symptoms fit into.. and can HELP YOU!!

BUt this reminds me.. is it more about diagnosing or treating?? Can one happen without the other.. hmmm...

Warmly Jan

HEY Sarah.. guess what I just learned??

Well I just had this QSART test done at the ONLY autonomic lab in Wisconsin. ANd it tests for different things but..it tests for small fiber neuropathy that OFTEN GOES MISSED IN EMGS!!

I had my EMG done on both my arms/hands and it was positive..with left worse than right. BUT I have more problems with right and very little to NO problems with left. So.. I asked if they could do an EMG with my legs.. as THEY have been bothersome..with buzzing..tingling.. spasticity..for years without relief.

I never got the EMG tests on my legs. Now I dont care as I have a NEW neuro. I am paying out of network for..but he's worth it. HE KNOWS what is wrong with me.. and is now measuring it. I get the results in a few weeks..after he studies my testing done yesterday.

ITs not YOU...its THEM and their limited testing. After all yesterday I had the tilt table test that I had before with a cardiologist.. and it was positive then. BUT this measures something differently than what the cardio guys were..they were only looking at one thing.. the HEART. Go figure. This TTT will tell my new neuro how significantly my autonomic system is NOT WORKING= neuro symtpoms!!!

THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG.. you know it..I know it..but they just have to find out how to measure your symptoms.. and place it in the RIGHT diagnosis.

Warmly Jan
