Seriously, do you want me to dig through everyone’s posts here to show how often someone offers a medical “suggestion” on here (and every other MS forum)? “Cut the pill in ½”, “try exercising for that spasticity”, “be sure to taper off to that med”, “most people start out with a low dosage”, etc.

And, on almost every posting to the “newly dx”, someone pops in to say that it is worthwhile to discuss the DMD’s with their doctor, ESPECIALLY if the person is having a ton of relapses.

Give me a break! I don’t even do the DMD’s, but they are mainstream gold standard for MS. That approach is common sense for anyone who has been dealing with this disease, NOT medical advice.

I simply gave you some insight as to why you were asked if you were a doctor. I too can pull up many threads where you have been involved with "virtual altercations" with members on who's right and who's wrong.

Sometimes a member just wants to vent or put something out there. Relax. Don't take this where it doesn't need to go.

If you have any further comments to me personally bring it up in a PM not on Char's thread.

It is just my style and character to try to offer helpful input (PLUS hugs, condolences, etc.), but if someone finds that offensive, I agree that it should be taken to PM.

Thanks for trying to shed some light into the question that was asked of me, Sandy.

YB, please feel free to PM me if I upset you in any way.

Cherie

Personally Cherie I don't feel a PM is needed, Sandy has summed up what my thoughts are.

I have an excellent Neuro and I know when to talk to him and when not to.

I come to NT to laugh, cry, vent and try to have some fun. It is to bad when clearly a thread to vent about a feeling I was having had to turn into a thread such as this.

The sad part is I wonder if other people read a thread like this and shy away because of it?

I have so much more stress in my life to let your post bother me. Yes, I was upset but there are much bigger things to dwell on beside you having the need to post on what you feel your medical knowledge is whether it be educational or found some place on the internet.

I asked the question because you always seem to put yourself out there as a medical doctor - I don't know you so I asked.

thank you Sandy for your support.

*jumping in between*

Okay, let's break it up.

Move along, people, nothing to see here.

You girls just stay away from each other now, ya' hear? This playground is plenty big enough for everyone.

Who peed in the sandbox, dangit?

*looking for dm*

That's enough, now.

If you can't say anything nice about anyone else, come sit by me.
