Thank you for all your replies. I do take klonopin at night--sometimes it works, usually it doesn't. I've read about baclofen, and now I think I'll ask my doctor for it when I see him in a few weeks. The abdominal spasms make it impossible to stay asleep, and I wake up in pain in the morning. They seem to only kick in at night.

I do practice yoga and meditation. I actually just finished a quickie session. The deep breathing, pranayama, probably helps me more than anything else. One trick that sometimes helps is if I "practice" sleep. I lay there and breathe the way I would if I was asleep, and I imagine that I'm floating. I also try mindlessness--don't know if that's a word. I just try to think nothing, which is very difficult. When I'm really stressed out and nothing works, I put on CSPAN or something else that bores me, but that gives me some goofy dreams! That doesn't do much for muscle spasms and pain though. If Baclofen can work for me, that may cover all the bases.

As for Avonex, I have a good chunk saved, and by next week I'll have enough to hopefully make a payment plan with them. I'm feeling much better about that since I have the money saved up. In the beginning it felt impossible, and right after Christmas! It will all work out.

I'm looking forward to some good sleep tonight. It was a rough day at work with one of my clients, and sleep will be a huge relief!

April,

Just to let you know - If you use Baclofen you can also use the Klonopin with it. That combination, if needed, might work pretty good for you.

I don't know what dosage of Klonopin you use but, asking about increasing it could also be an option.
