I'm 32 now, and I was diagnosed about a year ago. I've heard that the late 20's/early 30's is the most common time to be diagnosed with MS.
We have the advantage of being diagnosed in a time where MS researchers are finding out all sorts of new things about the disease. The DMD's will give us a much higher chance of maintaining a normal life as we age and progress. I'm hopeful. ![]()

I'm 68, nearly 69, and was diagnosed with MS at 39. I mostly just lurk here but I wanted my age to go on record, in case some of you younger people are afraid you won't live very long.
Large numbers of us live quite a while.

Hi Sally,
![]() How nice of you to reply! I think of you as a cyberfriend of long standing. I'm hoping we'll show them all that people with MS live to a ripe old age. I've read a number of posts lately by much younger people who are absolutely sure they'll die young. They probably won't--that's my guess. Let's hope they don't.
