I have something similar..Or maybe exactly the same, I don't know ..First my neck hurts, then my shoulders, and then I feel muscles knot up between my shoulders and it hurts like heck..I went to PT, he worked thru the muscles and it felt so good for about 30 minutes or so, then would come right back. I was told to try ultrasound as the heat goes deeper to reach the muscles there more effectively. I haven't done it yet, but may give in and try it if this keeps up. You're totally right about the frustration with MS vs something else..I tend to blow them all off, which isn't good either..
