I was finally told it's neuropathic pain, but it FEELS like a headache.... it's painful and burning in my case. I've had headache AND migraine. This is a dull, always there pain that is untouched by medications (OTC and prescribed). HOWEVER... it's also the reason they sent me to a pain doctor, who confirmed what my neurologist and GP said about this pain I have, only MJ will truly help the pain. So if it's legal in your State or region, worth looking into. I'm still waiting on financial approval to begin my own 'testing' ![]()

I'm going to try to go for a few days without taking any meds for it, just in case I am experiencing "rebound" headaches. Today was the first day, and it wasn't fun. Now, we've got a front coming in that's bringing rain, and I'm having to deal with the pain and vertigo from that as well. Ack!!! My husband suggested having my blood pressure checked b/c that can cause headaches. (Plus, both of my parents have high blood pressure.) That will be one of the first things I check if the headaches don't go away after my med-free few days. But, my BP has always been on the low side of normal, even when I was pregnant. We'll see. Thanks for all the responses! You guys are always great. ![]() ETA: I forgot to comment on the MJ thing....it's not legal in my state, although we have a neighbor who more than likely could easily get it for me if I ever wanted it.

I, too, have dealt with a headache for almost two years. It has eased over the past three months, but I still have a dull ache, oh, about 3-4 days a week.
I take Frova (an abortive migraine med), but only when I'm having a true migraine. The other HA...when it's around, nothing works. One thing that HAS given me consistent relief is visiting a chiropractor. Last year I went to the ER with such terrible pain. They gave me IV pain killers...nothing worked. I went to a chiropractor that a good friend suggested, and after one adjustment I noticed relief. The trick with chiropractors--find one who is legit, and don't let them con you into visiting every day for 20 years! I did go 2x a week for about a month, then once a week, then down to every other week. Now, if I'm lucky I can find time to go once a month. But, when the HA is in full force, the visit is worth it! Best wishes! |
