My daughter Holly is back on Steroids for two weeks.
She started them yesterday. She has had 3 doses. She felt really good today. We went out to eat and I noticed she wasn't eating much. She was sweating and I could see her shoulders shaking. Like she was cold. She said she was hot, yet she was shivering. We got out in the parking lot and stood there talking to friends. We could see her shoulders shaking. Not hard, but like she was shivering. She said the shaking was making her legs hurt worse because they were tightening up more. When we got home I checked her blood sugar and it was 180. Steroids have made her shakey before, but I'm just not sure if I should be worried about this. Holly says that she feels shakey inside. Her legs are hurting bad, but the doc took her off the zanaflex while she is on the steroids. Then she is nausious due to the pain in her legs. Is it normal to get visably shakey on steroids? Her blood sugar is higher than it should be, but not extreme. DAY |
