Hmmm. I had tried to post a poll. Usually, I don't have problems, but, this time it didn't go through. Musta clicked the wrong thing.

Thanks for your responses.

Your poll is visible to me! It's at the top of the page. Have you voted in it yet? You might have to vote in order for it to show up.

Yeah; I had already voted. Visible to me now, too. Maybe I just wasn't scrolled up, before, or something. Thanks.

For the 18 months I took Copaxone, I never had an IPIR. I did hit muscle once in my leg and that was really painful.

I voted, just to add the information you were looking for. I did "C" for 3 1/2 and never had the IPIR.

BUT, like Koala77, I ended up allergic to it.

After the first 3 years on it I forced myself to endure the hives, swelling, burning, blisters and pain for anther 6 months. And the "C" let an opportunist infection slip in because it takes away surveillance of germs and lets them pass by and/or multiply.

I ended up going to 4 different specialists, after the 3 1/2 years, and tons of medication and tests to fix the problems it caused. This took 5 months to clear.

I called SS and they put me through to their Pharma manufacturing dept. I needed to know if the ingredients had changed, it did. They changed what and where they got their Mannitol from. That is what is added to the "C" in the needle to open the BBB.

All the truth.

I had one about a year or so after starting. I pulled back the needle, and blood ran down my leg, and before I could get the needle put down on the table, to clean up the mess, I was saying WTF! it lasted about 7 minutes, and wasnt as horrible as I thought it would be. I chalked that up to having so many that had walked that road before me explaining it, and I was prepared. I looked at the clock to mark the time. I kept a cool head, and tried to distract myself. it was hard to catch my breath, and I felt like a sumo wrestler was on my chest. I felt like my sterum hurt all the way through to my backbone. As 5 minutes came, I was already feeling much relief. at 7 mins I was able to get up, and move on. At 10 mins it was over. I called the MD office, and they gave me a day off, and then right back at it.

I am told that i must have smacked into a vein, because it was so bloody. That my sx were very typical. I went on to shoot again, and havent had one since.

The increase in the frequency of the IPIR was what caused me to go off copax.

My first one was three months in, and then it was every few months after. Almost made it to the two year mark when it first increased to every other week, then every other day.

I think I've had about 9 in total.
