Hey Nappy, I love that you are moving better, again and I hope Ins covers this thingy, so a lot of you youngsters can enjoy life a bit more. I've had MS since 1964...DXed in 1976 and it was pretty mild, until 1993.....I was still walking, running and bowling, until 1993.

I see no reason why Insurance shouldn't cover the Ness L300, just as any other assistive walking devise, so that a bunch of you could enjoy the benefits, as is, AMN..

LOL

Going backwards on the ellptical was pure accident...at first. I had a hard time intially getting my feet to go in the right direction...forward

It took me awhile to figure out (yes, I'm a slow learner ) how to get on the machine and go forward instead of having my feet move backwards.

BBS, well we have a golfing membership each year... my parents have always gotten it with us... and help us with the cost.. we are all golfers ...

when we go out then we use my parents golf cart, and so we golf a lot thru summer since a non cost activity as the membership cost is a better deal.

guess i should say the Y is time consuming for me to pay and get there daily... as I work 8 hours a day and have five kids, so time is sparce.... to get ready go somewhere else for exercise and come back....so I feel if I do not get there very often, it is not worth the cost. (also hubby just lost his job this past month...)

hugss all and keep moving, sarah

I went to water aerobics this morning and we really had fun. My class is all older women and I am the "kid" at 60 years old.

I tell you these old broads have more energy than you can imagine and we all have such a good time!

The class lasts an hour and afterward we have coffee and juice and snacks.

Today I went on the eliptical and did well. Now my right foot is buzzing and reminding me I did a bit much but that's okay.

Aftermynap: You feel the same way about your machine as I feel about my swimming; it changed my life too!

Hi Sabimax, now that makes alot of sense! I didnt know you have five kids at home. I only had two, and when they were still in the nest, I only worked half time, and never had time to read a book, to exercise, to go out with a friend, to watch a movie. So, I soooooo know what you are talking about!

Hey AzJanie: Those old women have all that energy cuz they don't have to work and they dont have MS!!

I took my Kindle reader with me to go treadmilling today. It sat just perfectly on the little book ledge on the treadmill. I didnt even realize I'd done 15 minutes of walking until I looked down at the timer. It made the nearly 40 minutes that I did on the treadmill go by really really fast!

I even finished my book! (a Stargate Atlantis novel)

It was great, didnt have to turn any paper pages, just hit the Next Page button when I needed to. It was really nice. I think I'll be taking my Kindle with me more often now.

I usually do 25 to 30 minutes on the treadmill, I did almost 40 today and only stopped because my knees started to hurt.

I swam 1 1/4 mile today, I jsut wanted to stay in the pool forever--it was a perfect day out and I love the weightlessness of pool-- I feel much more normal in the pool
